Question about Arcsoft VideoImpression 2 for PC

1 Answer

Can anyone tell me why, when I'm trying to save my "ArcSoft Video Impressions2" slideshow, to a CD-R... my computer, always, at around 70% of being finished... always pops up a box that says "Internet Explorer has stopped working".\r\nIs this a problem with the ArcSoft software? Or, is it my computer?

Try this:

It might be that the ArcSoft software has an auto update feature (and it is maybe trying to go/update while you are burning). With the ArcSoft thing open, see if there is an Option or Tools choice. Then, maybe in the settings somewhere, you can shut the auto update thing off if there is one. You could also maybe try burning when not connected to the internet.

Good luck.

SOURCE: What is a "Video CD"? -As opposed to a

Video CD abbreviated as VCD (Video Compact Disc)- Reference
CDRW - short for CD-ReWritable disk - Reference
DVD, also known as Digital Video Disc or Digital Versatile Disc - Reference

For "Video CD" recording just buy the CDR (standard 700MB 80min) Disc.
As for your software you are using most probably it is for creating VCD.

Hope it helps

this could be a problem as simple as low rescurces when you are burning your disk or even maybe needing a new fresh install of Arcsoft, it has been known to happen, as always its a process of elimination. firstly make sure you minimise whats running when you are creating your dvd, if that doesnt help move to the next step. uninstall and reinstall Arcsoft, look into the settings and maybe increase the priority of Arcsoft also.
i hope this helps, thank you.

How to make an slideshow and download?

Two methods for you to make a slideshow:
1> save your PowerPoint file as slide show:
Before you save your PPT as PPSX format you need to set up the exact time duration for each slide so that it can run by itself. For more details, please click How to Timing Automatic PowerPoint Presentations.

Then you should place the presentation file and the music together in the same folder, zip it and send to the recipients.

2>convert your powerpoint to Flash
No sound or any other effect gets lost with both converters. Then email the video presentation or put it on YouTube so that they can share.

How can i download music to my slideshow

after you have downloaded pictures into your slideshow, click "next". A window will appear on the left side of the screen asking to add music. select from your files. Hint, on the right side of screen there are two boxes. click the box that allows the slideshow time to the length of your music. This saves having to cut or edit the audio.

Audio does not play in slideshow

Well, I haven't actually solved the problem with Arcsoft but the solution already exists in my computer; I already own Vegas Pro 8.0. I am still in the beginner phase with Vegas but also own "The Vegas Pro 8 Companion" by Gary Kleiner. So, I see my 80 year old self with a finished DVD later this day.
So why did I use Arcsoft in the first place? I had used it successfully several years ago where-as my Vegas Pro is less than a year old.
