Question about Epson Stylus Pro 9600 InkJet Printer

Open Question

I have a Epson 9600 Printer. The problem i am having, my printer works fine for a couple of days. When i let the printer set for a day, and run a nozzels check, I am missing Nozzels, I have been doing 3 or 4 Cleanings. I have cleaned the Capping station and I have also let the printer head soak on a paper towel with head cleaning fluid. I did 3 more cleanings and printed the missing Nozzel color on a 20x24 paper.I find that over time my printer colors come back and works fine. The problem i am having, is i have to do this procedure over and over and over again. Do you have any idea why my printer head is not staying clean. I was told to do 5-10 cleanings by one of your experts , I have read that if you do more than 4 cleanings the head may get clogged with ink. Can you tell me why i am having this problem.

SOURCE: I have a Epson 9600

Hello

Use the printer's utility program to self-clean the printer as many as 5 to 10 times. The ink may need to soften before the self-cleaning utility will be successful. Turn the printer on and try the self-cleaning utility again several times..Often this will resolve the problem.

Please check if the printers' "ink out" light is on; you must replace the ink cartridge first.

Ensure your ink catridges are properly aligned as catridges not properly aligned might be the cause of this problem

Remove the cartridge, drop seven to 10 drops of isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) down the ink receptacle area. This is the hole where the ink flows into the head from the cartridge. Run a few self-cleaning utilities. If necessary, allow to sit a few hours or overnight and repeat the self-cleaning utility.

Soak the cartridge print head in hot water if the print head is in the cartridge. Allow to soak overnight. Dry the print head area with a paper towel. Repeat the self-cleaning utility.

Purchase a new cartridge if the alcohol soak did not unclog the print head in the cartridge. This will provide new print heads that won't be clogged.

Hi there, I would simply pull the ink cartridges out completely and then put them back in. It should act as if you are putting in new cartridges and go through the install process again. I hope this works for you!

My epson c65 wont turn on at all. couple of days

Possible hardware failure, unfortunately.
Please disconnect the printer from all the devices connected to it. Plug it in directly to a working electrical outlet which means you have to bypass the surge protector. Turn it back on.
Please log on to epson.com. Go to drivers and support page and click on help me find a service center to the right of the page to find the local servicers near to your area.

Epson Stylus Pro 9600 vs Agfa Sherpa44

The Agfa Sherpa is not manufactured by Epson. Both Epson and Agfa buy and retag their printers from Mutoh.
I do not know if the 44 is the same as Epson 7600 or 9600, but it should fit the same cartridges.

If the printer does not accept the cartridges, that means that there is something different in the software stored in the Epson cartridge chip.

In this case you will be only able to use only Agfa or Mutoh Falcon cartridges.

Epson 9600 suddendly stopped printing yellow

It's NOT a cartridge if this works... I had a similar problem with a 9600 I bought on eBay that had been inoperable over 18 months. Three colors would NOT clear up after multiple power cleanings. Epson support politely solved the issue at no charge on the phone... he had me drop a few drops of warm water on the pad the printhead rests on when not printing. You have to move the printhead to the left to do that by moving up the little lever near the cutter. The pad is easier to reach with a long eye dropper. I used very warm water- not boiling. I replaced the printhead over the warm water pad for an hour. Then I repeated the process and let it be for another 60 minutes. Then I did a nozzle check and what was gummed up yellow, cyan, and magenta nozzles became clear and it's worked fine since. Good luck!
