Open door so you will have access to both sides (need 2 hands at same time) - hold down 'lock' button while with other hand, remove battery pack for 15 seconds. Reinsert battery pack & then release the 'lock' button. Ensure new batteries, otherwise can remove batteries from holder for 30 sec then reinsert. s/b smooth operating deadbolt latch when door open - may also have to adjust latch plate slightly on doorway if required.

You should replace your batteries as the motor that moved the deadbolt does not have enough power to move it with weak batteries. If that fails make sure the deadbolt moves freely when the lock is removed as the mis-aligned mounting will cause excessive force be exerted to move the deadbolt. Is your powerboat sentient? Most vehicles cant find their way home yet. Unless powerboat is a name of something else.

Replacing the forward fixed track bar in the rear suspension on my 2000 pontiac grand prix gt and i cant pull the upper bolt out far enough to remove the track bar because the bolt hits the gas tank. If...

possibly the bolt was incorrectly fitted at some stage so you may have to drop the tank a bit to get the bolt out . If so place a trolley jack under the tank. use a bit of flat wood to prevent damage to the tank. undo the tank straps and lower the tank just enough the get the bolt out.

Have a new quickset on entry door from garage. works fine for a couple of days then will not unlock. key will turn and can manually move latch from inside, but lock will not release....any ideas? greg

There is a tubular "Lazy cam" or tailpiece that passes from the cylinder on the outside operated with a key through the bolt and into the thumb turn on the inside. There is as "E" clip that holds the tubular Cylinder bar or "tailpiece" in place. Fixing it to the back of the keyed cylinder. The center portion of the clip ( that differentiates it from a "c" clip ) passes through a slot in the Cylinder bar to limit its "free rotation" this allows the tailpiece to turn freely enough for the thumb turn to operate the bolt from the inside without binding against the keyed cylinder on the outside, from the outside when you rotate the key far enough in either direction the clip comes to the end of the slot, catches and rotates the bar to operate the bolt. your problem is a broken clip. It is very common, and has been a vulnerability with this design for decades. The cause is usually tension on the bolt during operation with the key ( bolt dragging or rubbing against the strike on the frame) . You can replace the clip and relocate the strike plates on the frame to avoid this again or purchase something a little better than Kwikset.

What is the difference between a powerboat and a jet ski?

5_22_2013_9_45_08_pm.jpgvs.5_22_2013_9_44_20_pm.jpgA powerboat is the type of boat you traditionally think of as a motorboat or speedboat. Imagine a water skier behind it. A jet ski is a personal watercraft for 1-4 people. The passangers sit on top of a jet ski with their legs on either side.
