ITunes can help you accomplish this aim easily. Just follow below steps. You can use iTunes to add iTunes album artwork automatically or manually. iTunes is one direct manager of iTunes library. Read the following steps and you will know how to make it.
1. Launch iTunes on computer and make sure the version of it is the latest one.
2. Hit on "File" tab at the top left corner of the interface and then click on "Library> Get Album Artwork".
3. When you see a disclaimer, you need to agree to it to allow iTunes to add album artwork automatically. You can wait for a while and the album artwork will be added to iTunes music well.

4. You are also able to add album artwork manually if you are still not satisfied with the album artwork that is embedded automatically.
a) First, you need to download proper artwork image that conforms to the iTunes requirements to computer local folder and then click on one song item in iTunes music library.
b) Next, you need to choose "Album Info" or "Get Info" to click on in the drop-down menu and then agree on the pop-up dialog to continue to add album artwork.

c) After that, you need to hit on the "Artwork" tab in the panel and then click on "Add Artwork" to choose the image you have saved in computer local folder. Hit on "Open" button when you find the image. Thus, it will be added to your music immediately. You will be able to view it when it is shown in iTunes music library.

If you do not want to download and install other programs to help you to add albums artwork to music, iTunes will be your best choice.

Hi,
You are able to add album art to your songs through iTunes. Just right-click on the song, or album and it will give a drop down menu; one of them will say to "get album artwork."
Just make sure you have the correct song name/album for iTunes to automatically find it for you.
If not, you can always to a Google search to find the album art you want and save it. Once you find it, right-click on the song again in iTunes and click preferences. Then you will see a tab for artwork. Just upload it from there from whichever directory you saved the image from Google.
Let me know if this helps. Eric

Open iTunes and click on the "Advanced" link at the top of the application. When the message "Are you sure you want to get missing artwork" appears, click the "Get Album Artwork" button.

Allow the program to search for the album art. There may be some songs where album art was not found.

To manually add art to theses songs. Selecta song and click "Drag Album Art here."
A file menu should pop up and you will be able to select the appropriate art for that album. You may find album art using an image search-engine such as Google images.

The best and quickest solution is to use Tunesleeve now at version v1.0.11 costs about £20 then check that it has worked using MP3Tag now at version v2.44 by selecting you iTunes folder.

N.B.> Be careful tunesleeve will actually rewrite the ID3 tag of the MP3 so will MP3Tag as well but this is not as east to use as Tunesleeve

N.B.B > iTunes only displays artwork by association on DRM MP3's which means that they wont transfer artwork to other players tunesleeve will do this for you.

N.B.B.B> Make sure that if you want to keep the HQ downloaded artwork when using tunesleeve select the correct BUTTON to keep them or they will be lost forever.

Remember this is the best solution for ripped CD and aquired MP3's that have no DRM most that don't have artwork, tunesleeve gets its artwork from www.amazon.com images.

There are 3 possible ways in getting the album art for your music album.
  1. Album art may be obtained from the online Music CD database that Windows Media Player uses.
Note: Not all music albums have album art available in the online CD database.
  2. From the online music store where you purchased your songs or albums, the album art may be downloaded along with your purchase.
  3. You may also create your own album art by transferring your favorite jpg photo into the selected album folder and rename it to Album Art.jpg.
To download album art from the online database and transfer to the player.
  1. Make sure that your computer is connected to the Internet.
  2. Launch Windows Media Player.
  3. Go to Tools> Options> Player.
  4. Make sure the "Enable picture support for devices" check box is selected.
  5. Click the Apply, then the OK buttons.
  6. Select the "RIP" tab on the task menu bar.
  7. Insert your music CD into the CD drive of your computer. The Windows Media Player will take a few seconds to show the content of the CD on the display.
  8. Click "Find Album Info". The Player accesses the database hosted by WindowsMedia.com and displays information about the album in the Album Information pane. The album art will be shown if available.(Note: For some music CD, album art may not be found in any of the online database.)
  9. Click Finish to update all the information about your album and show it in the Rip pane.
  10. Connect your Device to the computer.
  11. Select the tracks that you would like to rip by clicking in the check b ox next to the track.
  12. Click the Rip music button to start ripping the music CD.
  13. Once the tracks are finished being ripped to the library, go to the Media library and select the songs that you have just ripped.
  14. Add them to the sync list and transfer them into your Device. The album art will be transferred along with those selected songs.
  15. Disconnect the Device from your computer.
  16. Make sure that the option in your Device has been selected to display the album art on the device, at Settings-> Album art.

To create your own album art and transfer it to the Device
  1. In Windows Media Player , right click on the song you want to update the album art of.
  2. Select "Advanced Tag Editor" option.
  3. In the screen that pops up , select the "Pictures" tab.
  4. Use the drop down list to make sure that the type of picture you add is the Cover (front).
  5. Click on "Add" to associate a picture as the Album art for the song and all the songs in that album.
  6. Add this (and other songs from the same album) to the sync list and transfer them into your Device. The album art will be transferred along with those selected songs.
  7. Disconnect the Device from your computer.
  8. Make sure that the option in your Device has been selected to display the album art on the device, at Settings-> Album art.
You can also click on this link to show the graphical steps on how to upload/add album art on your songs.

How to get album art?

  1. Click on "Advanced" which is found at the top of the screen. Select "Get Album Artwork" from the drop down menu. It will ask you "Are you sure you want to get album artwork?" Hit "Get Album Artwork". Before you do that, you can select "Don't ask me again" if you don't want this to pop up in the future.
  2. Wait until it is done searching for the artwork. A window will pop up saying that it either found all artwork or they didn't. If they did, then great, your done, plug in your iPod and start jamming. But if they didn't, you can still jam away, but check the song title, album name, artist, and genre to see if you got it typed in correctly. Type in what they are supposed to be and try again.
  3. If they still can't find it, then you can add them manually. Look at the link below to find out how to do it manually.
OR
If Itunes wont find the art work:
  1. Find the artwork for the album on the internet. Try using Wikipedia. Click on the artwork to get a larger image. If you can't find it there, I'm sure you can find it using Google images. Anyway, once you find it drag it to your desktop. Make sure it is on there before you continue.
  2. Next, you need to highlight the songs that are in the album you are getting artwork for. To highlight multiple songs, click on the first song and then while holding the shift key click on the last song. To highlight multiple songs that aren't grouped together, click on all the songs while holding the command key on a Mac and ctrl key on a PC.
  3. Now go to "File" then "Get Info". A window will pop up asking you if you want to edit multiple items. Click "Yes". Another window will pop up labeled "Multiple Item Information". You will notice a box on the right hand side of the window that says "Artwork". Click and drag the artwork that is on your desktop into that box. It should appear there. When it does, select "Ok".
  4. When it is done processing, plug your iPod into the computer, sync it, and take your iPod out to start listening to your improved music.

Cover Art and iPod not agreeing with each other!

Hi there,
the problem comes from the tags attached to your media files.
You must tag your files with the appropriate cover art for them to appear correctly. There is an application available for free that can do this for you:
http://www.mp3tag.de/en/download.html

Once you have installed it, run the program.
In the program, click File/Change Directory
Select the folder in which you've got your music files and it will open the folder up for analysis.
Preferably, you should group your songs by album to make the process easier for you.
You select the songs from the list( for multiple songs, hold Ctrl while selecting) and then click on Tag Sources/Amazon.com or any other present website and use the search engine to find the appropriate album for the songs. Note that you can not search for multiple albums at the same time. Tags can be done per album.
Hope this helps,
Regards
