This model printer has only an USB printer connection.
To connect this printer to a wireless network, you need additional equipment, a print server with an USB pirnter connection and then connect this printer server to a wireless router using a LAN cable.
It may be easier to purchase a new printer with wireless connectivity.

How do i reset my wireless router, cause i dont remember my password?

Hi enaral100 !

Here is the back view of your router:
omerk.gif

As you can see, there is a reset button.
From USR website:

To restore the factory default settings, use a paperclip to press in and hold the RESET button for five to ten seconds. If the RESET button is pressed for less than five seconds, the Wireless MAXg Router will reboot.

Best of luck,
omer.

It might not work Because your laptop should XP service pack 2 Or above
You can try upgrading your operating system before throwing your router out of the door

I have a U.S. Robotics USRobotics USR5461 Wireless router

heres the online installation manual http://www.usr.com/support/5461/5461-ug/index.html
see configuration tab - You will not be prompted to login the first time you connect to the Web User Interface during the initial setup. During the Setup Wizard procedure, you will be prompted to create a user name and password to log on to the router. If you create a user name and password, you will need to use these whenever you want to log on to the Wireless MAXg Router. The user name and password are case-sensitive.
------------- so if you cannot remember the username and password - you will need to reset to fsactory condition and reset all the settings in the router for it to work with your ISP again
the reset button is on the back - RESET Button: To restore the factory default settings, use a paperclip to press in and hold the RESET button for five to ten seconds. If the RESET button is pressed for less than five seconds, the Wireless MAXg Router will reboot.

I have a netbook and no cd rom drive. what wireless router brand do i need to use?

technically you need no drive or software on you computer for this unless this is the computer you wish to manage the router with. you see you can still buy a new router and cable directly into it go to a web browser and type in 192.168.254.254 and this is generally the default html or web interface for the router. All changes you can make with software can be done from here as well. I would think you could buy any and just use the web interface instead of the software interface. That is what I do I toss all the software and use that interface when securing a client network or setting up a router for a client. Hope that helps you out.. Oh yes default username and password for most linksys routers will be admin / admin some are different but that info will be contained withing the literature that comes with it.

Can I boost signal strength?

You will need to get hold of a Belkin Wireless G Universal Range Extender relays the signals of your wireless network and extends its range model number F5D7132 from PC world or another online dealer.

You will still need the wireless router as the central connection point, using the booster your network now reaches further I have one at the top of the stairs with the Router downstairs to I can browser wirelessly in the loft conversion of my old house

If your laptop does not have a wireless card built into the computer then yes I would go and buy a usb wifi adapter because you cant get wifi if you dont get one.

Intermittent router

A common problem. First disable the wireless utility that came with the wireless interface in your computer. Let XP ( Vista? ) handle wireless connectivity alone - for now. Take the vendor's wireless utility out of your startup folder. Make sure you have downloaded and installed the latest driver & utility software from the manufacturer of your interface ( not the router ). Have only ONE thing asking for an IP address.
If that doesn't help, you may be getting interference from another recently added wireless device or appliance in the area. Access your router ( using your browser ) through the gateway address and lock it onto channel 1, 5, or 11 as an experiment. If one isn't reliable try another. Yeah, it ain't simple. You say it's NOW intermittent - what has changed in your world since it was reliable?

Belkin N1 routers

First off you need to change the defaault IP of one of the routers so that you can access them both via the web based interface. The default is 192.168.2.1

Do you plan linking them via cable or wireless?
