Make sure your receiver has a PHONO input. If you are connecting it to a LINE or AUX input, then there is not enough signal to boost the sound coming from the turntable. Turntables require a PHONO input, because phono input's have a pre-amp on them, which boost the turntable signal. If you do not have a PHONO input on your receiver, you will need to buy a Phono Pre-Amp.

If you have a phono input, then you might have an issue with the turntable's RCA cables, or your cartridge may be at fault.

On the early (pre 2017) versions, the anti-skate spring was too weak. To overcome this issue, you either need to cut off about a third of the existing spring or replace it with the new stronger one. Audio-Technica can supply this directly but they will charge you for it.

If it is UHF and fairly new, select the frequency on the transmitter and then power up the receiver, press search and it should find it.

Use an alternative device connected to the input the turntable usually connects to. If both channels work ok the new turntable is clearly faulty and should be returned under warranty.

If the echo is electronically produced, that can be removed in the effects menu. If it is because your room echoes, use more wadding.
