Use grease proof paper to separate the slices and place them in a polythene bag or cling film to stop any air and avoid freezer burn. Place them in your freezer.

Blanch asparagus in boiling water for 1 to 2 min. Have a large bowl of ice cold water ready to transfer the vegetables to when they are done blanching. Leave it in the cold water for the same amount of time that you left it in the boiling water. Drain asparagus in a colander, place it in a freezer bag, label with date and freeze.

Two methods for freezing avocados:
1. Cut in half, remove pit and skin, place in a container and into the freezer for 1 hour. Put avocados bag, vacuum seal bag then back into the freezer.
2. Cut in half, remove pit and skin, dice then into a bowl. Add lime juice to prevent oxidization. Mash avocados with a fork put them in a freezer bag, label with date and freeze.

Lemon juice, white vinegar, baking powder, buttermilk or yogurt. All do the job. If it's something like syrups, frosting,or icing, you can generally leave it out. It's in there to keep the mixture from crystallizing. That won't happen for a while, and with something like syrup, you can remove the crystals by reheating it. Good luck!

Don't Be Fooled By Fake Brown Sugar

There are allot of brown sugar products that are Molasses and white sugar processed together to make it look and taste like brown sugar. If what you're buying is real brown sugar the only ingredient should be brown sugar. This is especially important if you're looking to avoid white processed sugars in your diet.
