CE40: Image quality control test pattern abnormality:

The test pattern is not formed normally. If you switch off at the right hand side of the machine, wait 10 secs then back on again, It should clear. I think it is caused by condensation.

It can also be transfer belt failure, or paper rubbing against the transfer belt. It could be because the Developer Unit failed to Pass the Close Looping Check by the machine every time it boots.... check for fault from 08-824 if the value of any color is " 1 " means abnormal occur.... check for foreign matters on the dev tank...the simplest way is clean all 3 tanks...then reset it back to "0" then do a 05-200 and 05-396-4-Fax-1624-Set

Hello Bheesam,
Turn off the power switch, wait about 10 seconds, and
then turn on the switch again. If this does not clear the
message, write down the code (Main code and sub
code exists.) that appears and then unplug the power
cord and contact your authorized service Rep.

First, on your computer desktop. left click on START. Next, left click on CONTROL PANEL, and left click on PRINTERS. Find your printer on the PRINTERS window, and RIGHT CLICK on the icon. From the drop-down menu, left click on PRINTING PREFERENCES. Use the settings to set up the printer for the paper size and orientation you want to use.Click APPLY , then OK buttons to apply any changes you make. If that does not help, check the side paper guides in the paper source you are using. If they are not against the paper on both sides, the paper will not align properly with the image. Move the guides snug but not tight against the paper. If the guides are too tight, paper may not feed. If moving the guides does not solve the problem, try loosening the guides and reposition the paper until the image is properly aligned. Then see in your owners manual if there is an adjustment called SIDE-TO-SIDE REGISTRATION, and follow the proceedure to adjust the side-to side paper alignment.
