It is most likely the output video signal coming from the main board, and not the back lights.

Press the HOME button on the remote control.

Ok I just dealt with the Sharp customer support for this problem.

1) You need to unplug the TV for 1 full minute and remove the batteries from your remote aswell (this will reset the system)
2) Hold the power button on the remote for 30 seconds with the batteries still out of the remote and the TV still unplugged
3) After the 30 seconds replace batteries then press every button on the remote beginning with the power button in order from left to right and top to bottom (same way you read)
4) Then plug your tv back in and try the remote again.... and the remote and TV should be back in sync.

I don't know which model Vizio TV you are asking about, but on my Vizio TV, the time settings are on the Menu, under SYSTEM, Time & Local Settings. You can set Time Zone, Daylight Savings Time, ZIP Code and Country. I don't have it connected to cable, just an On The Air antenna and it displays the correct time. I suppose it gets a time signal from the broadcast station(s). Hope that helps.

You have this backwards. Codes are in the remote control. There may not be an applicable Directv code for the ONN TV.

I would use code search to find something that works. If a search through all codes stored in the remote control fails, try a different one.

Somewhere on the front there is a small round hole. Straigten a paper clip and push it into the hole. The drawer will release and push out where you can manually retract it fully and remove the disk. Some machines require you to remove the outer case to manually unlock the drawer, if yours is that type unplug it from the electric outlet prior to taking the case off. It is always a good idea to disconnect the power before working on any electronic device.

Several things. Somebody could have changed the remote code - perhaps accidentally - so it no longer recognises the remote.
The remote is faulty.
The remote sensor on the device is faulty, or is blocked so it's not getting the signals.

You would be better getting a replacement remote. See if you can pick up the original first, but if they are expensive go for a universal remote, that does not to have remote codes entered.

Not familiar the above model but it sound that the new PSU is not compatible. See is there is voltages on the PUS board connectors and comppear with the old one.
