has any one other than got into this radio?If some one else did its quite possable they may have tried to open the channels.You are the only one thats been in this radio. Have you played with the clarifier? maybe you shorted a diode or something. The best thing to do is take it to a tech and let him work on it because thats what you"re going to have to do anyway unless you have all the equipment to fix it.

first of all ,remove what you put into it and install the original parts back into it. Now see if it still heats up.If it does what is it thats heating up? Check it out,maybe install a different transistor with higher voltage to keep heat down.Could be a transformer in there heating up .Do the logical first then procede to the next step.

it has a diode in back of radio near power wires. If it got hooked up backwards one time it will blow this diode and fuses from then on. Replace that Black striped diode near transformer inside radio. its in the far right. You have to take radio apart and solder in a new one or get a pro to do it.
