This is a design you have successfully sewn prior? Check available memory... go FileManager-> QuickHelp-> MyFiles, it will show available memory. Or could be the file is corrupt, load new copy into machine.

How minutes does it take to sew, design? I'm wondering if you have utility power issue<?>. May be try running machine off a properly sized UPS.

Or could be machine failure. May be try a different design file that you know worked prior.

These are very well built machines. I will always suggest having a trained professional repair technician work on your machine. Parts will not be available to you even if you had the proper tools and repair manuals. There are mechanical and electrical hazards when making your own machine repairs.

You had it serviced for this issue specifically?... and they did/said what?

From 300 manual;
Note: Before plugging in, check to ensure that the foot control is of type "FR4".

So you have a new FR4 type pedal and it does not work?

It does work using RUN/STOP button at selected sewing speed?

The Rose has a sensor on the presser bar assembly that is giving you the grief. The machine thinkss the presser foot is in the raised position.There is a small metal flat spring that has gone bad and causing the error. Find an autorized service center to repair the problem.

Tension of lower thread In most special sewing cases it is sufficient to adjust only the upper thread tension. Rarely do you need to adjust the lower thread tension. If it is necessary to adjust the tension of the lower thread, take out the small screwdriver from the accessory box. Fit it in the larger screw on the thread tension spring and turn it not more than 1/10th of a turn to the left if the thread tension is too tight, to the right if it is too loose.

There is no suppressor in the foot control of a 425. Only the control unit, which may need to be replaced. If the machine accelerates to full speed, it may have a problem with the "stop right" board which tells the machine whether to stop with the needle up.
You could have several problems, so go see a qualified Husqvarna repairman. You may contact Husqvarna customer service to locate the best one in your area.

The Designer II should not be oiled by the user. As with most computerized sewing machines, it's got a sealed bearing system. You do need to clean the bobbin area and the space under the bobbin case. See page 65 of the user manual to open stitch plate to clean the bobbin area and feed dogs. Next remove bobbin case holder and bobbin case to clean under there. Sometimes the interdental brushes can get some of the lint that the sewing machine brush misses.

The manual for the Husqvarna Viking Designer II is available on the product page: http://www.husqvarnaviking.com/en-US/Machines/DESIGNER-II . The current link to the manual is http://www.husqvarnaviking.com/getattachment/Machines/DESIGNER-II/Designer-II.pdf.aspx .

I hope this helps.

Hello Ed

Three beeps indicate "attention, the set-up is not correct". Is the presser foot down?

Happy stitching

Did you check to be sure you placed the bobbin back in the holder correctly? I think it might snap in. Also, is the bobbin holder clipped back in? Lastly, do you have the bobbin going in the correct direction when the thread comes out? Some go in clockwise and some counter-clockwise.

Husqvarna Viking has the text instructions and for a couple of cover-stitch options on the Huskylock 936 page: http://www.husqvarnaviking.com/en-US/Machines/HUSKYLOCK-936 . The link to these instructions are here: http://www.husqvarnaviking.com/SiteMedia/EN/US/Documents/Learning%20Center/Huskylock_Specialty_Techniques_x_.pdf?ext=.pdf . There is also a video for setting up a triple cover stitch in the How-To tutorial. Note: the video requires Adobe Flash Player to run. The manual has a section on the cover stitch starting at page 40. This is available here: http://manuals.husqvarnaviking.com/VSM/Husqvarna%20Viking/HVManual.nsf/1fd5659e6f37141041256697003e64c0/de210fba65cb0805852575ed0070df04/$FILE/Huskylock_936_manual_EN.pdf .

I hope the steps in one of these files helps you set up the serger.

Rotate the handwheel several turns. It should turn smoothly and evenly without binding or jams.

Could be the problem is inside the foot control/cable. Disconnect foot control and try using START/STOP and see if the resets stop.

I noted the following in the manual;
"Never operate the sewing machine with any air openings blocked. Keep ventilation openings of the sewing machine and foot controller free from the accumulation of lint, dust, and loose cloth."
I don't believe this is your problem but check it anyway.

If it still resets when using START/STOP, could be speed control electronics inside machine or even the motor itself.

Check power gear selection (see bobbin spindle).
