If you go to
It will show you styles of Maytag Refrigerators. If you click on the one that matches your style, it will show you possible areas the filter is located. You can then look in those areas. Once you locate it, then you can then identify your filter part # and replace if needed. You can also go to Maytags website and look up your model and find the manual. The manual will likely tell you where the filter is and what the part number is.

You may have inadvertently set your range to "Sabbath Mode". The display actually reads "SAB". This is a feature that allows the consumer to disable certain features of the range in order to honor the sabbath. You cannot defeat it by unplugging the range or turning off the breaker either. You will either have to wait 72 hours for the mode to clear, or figure out how to turn it off.

To turn the Sabbath Mode on/off on most Maytag models you simply press and hold the "Clock" button for 5 seconds. These instructions should be in your owner's manual.

If this does not correct the problem for you, please post back with your model number (located on the back of the range or around the oven door opening) so that I may be able to assist you better. I hope this helps you.

Could be door switch failure. That's a cheaper alternative to replacing the control board.

I have the same model air conditioner, and had the same symptoms. As you've probably discovered, Fedders is the company that actually built it, and went of business. No one is supporting it any more.

However, you may be in luck. I fixed the problem by simply tipping the unit almost all the way over on its back (leave a little gap) and letting the water drain out of the hose and the filter. After that, it started right up.

Hope that works for you. Stay cool. :)

It may be a problem with the pressure switch that regulates the amount of water entering the machine?
Due to the age of the machine, it is possible that the pipe connecting the pressure switch to the tub is partially blocked, this will affect the water level, and how the machine progresses through the wash [or not].
Pressure switches are fairly reliable, but it is also possible that it may have failed, but I suggest that you check the small pipe to the pressure switch first.
I hope this helps?

It may seem crazy, but you have to remove the dryer door, and then take the door apart to be able to replace the handle! I've tried doing it without taking the door apart, and I only ended up damaging the door and replacement handle!
