the driver required would be for the blue tooth adapter in your p.c. What you need to work out is if your p.c has a blue tooth adapter or go and purchase a usb bluetooth dongle adapter that will work with the version of windows you have.

If you are following the instructions and still it seems not to work, perhaps you are not talking loudly enough above the threshold trigger level and you need to speak up or speak closer to the mike.. If that doesn't work. Have the sets looked at.

Are you on the same channels? Are you on a repeater setting? What are your squelch settings? Are your batteries fully charged? Power is needed on transmit, not so much on receive

Line of site. Obstacles in the real world: tinted glass, concrete, trees, hills, metal, wood, anything. I don't know how they can claim the outrageous range on their packages. Give a more specific real world example and I'll try to estimate your range. FRS channels are 0.5 watts, GMRS channels are 2.0 watts, but require an FCC License.

depending on which model it is there is a reverse polarity diode near the power cord that connects the radio . If it was connected wrong no matter how many fuses you insert it will keep blowing them. You have to change that diode in order to get the radio to work. If you still have the fuse problem then take it to a tech and let him fix it.

The radio is either stuck in transmit or the RF power output section has a short in it. If there is no RECEIVE audio and the squelch is open, and the radio is not in transmit, the chances are pretty good that the audio power amplifier is shot.

that is one of midlands big secrets. they want to do the work on their product so they will only release certain manuals for certain radios. unfortunately the 1000 z isn't one of them. Hey I mean I have a 9001z and midland told me they don't have service manuals for it.
