First of all shut it off. The reason it is losing sound because it is cooking itself to *****. Depends when you purchased it as to whether or not it is under warranty.

are your power wires and your rcas on oppsite sides this may be your problem

You don't need it. Tape off the end with electrical tape and bundle it up and leave it with the the rest of the bundled up wires from the harness. The radio will light up when the power button on the radio is on.

Manufacturers design stereos that require a code in order to prevent theft. If it's stolen, the stereo is useless. You must find the original paperwork that came with the stereo to find the code. If you can't find the code, you could try contacting the manufacturer online. Possibly they could help you if you can provide proof of purchase
