If this is the old rear projection TV, not sure of a model with triple 8 in the model number. But the SDX series did not have a HDMI input. You would be able to use a HDMI to composite lead to use a ROKU device to be able to watch Netflix.

Hi Brenden, as you say, your TV would have a bad backlight, that is, one or more LEDs are burned
The correct repair is to change all the LEDs
I sent you a link that shows the process of replacing the LED strips in a TLC TV model similar to yours
The necessary tools a good set of screwdrivers, a comfortable and wide work table, Very careful in the handling of the positions of the TV and above all greater care in the process of taking out the LCD Panel
I hope you can solve the problem
Regards Franco Dosil

Roku devices first need to be added to an existing Roku account. It's very simple, and you will need to supply a payment method for any future purchases. No charges will be applied to your payment method until yo actually make a purchase.
If you haven't done so already, you must first create a Roku account at this link: Welcome to your Roku account
Click on on the create account button if you have not already created an account, and follow the instructions...
Then you can add your Roku device to your account at this link: Roku Link Device with the activation code shown on your T.V screen.
Any channels you'd like to add to your device in the future from the channel store, should provide you with a web address, and a link code, on your TV screen.
Your payment method will only be charged for channels which indicate a price for them, any that say they are free, will not incur any charges to the payment method used when creating your Roku account.

It will be depending on your Roku model. The older Roku players will provide you an activation code to activate Netflix. The new Roku players will simply ask for your Netflix credentials to activate the channel on Roku.
