Initially, you might think that the problem is the USB cable. Before you buy a new USB cable, try to isolate the problem first.

Connect the device and the USB cable into different USB port of the computer.

Or might as well, connect it into different computer. If same problem occur, go to the Device Manager of your computer (while the device is connected), and locate the Universal Bus Controllers.

Click the plus (+) sign beside the Universal Bus Controllers, and check if one of the USB devices has a question (?) or exclamation (!) mark. If you find it, right-click on it and go to Properties.

You will see the error message on the status, go to 'Driver's' tab, and click on install driver button.

If same problem occur, try different USB cable.

Good luck!

MS Outlook is part of the MS Office Suite and is not Outlook Express. Your device may not be disigned to Sync with Outlook Express as the program not have a Calendar function.

You can download a Trial of Outlook from Microsoft at http://us20.office2010beta.microsoft.com/default.aspx

Your device can store the Addresses to the memory of the device itself. See manual here: http://www.sharpusa.com/downloads/archives/product_manuals/org_man_OZ590A.pdf

Hello,

Without the password, you cannot break through the phone. You need to unlock the phone password first, before you can retrieve or access your info.

Visit www.unlock-free.com or www.mobileunlocked.com/index.php to help unlock the password. Follow the instructions step by step and I believe the password issue problem will be resolved.

I wish you the best of luck.

Here is the manual for this organizer :

Pages 20-22 may help you. I think once an entry is deleted and confirmed it is gone for good.

Be sure the batteries are in correctly and are good, be sure the battery switch is back to the "normal position" - also it may have to be reset to work again - here is the instruction manual for doing that , page 7 chapter 1:

Basically you have to reset the password - there should be a reset button that you can press with a pen tip while turning it on and it will ask you to reset - but this will wipe out any items marked private.
Here is the user manual for it with instructions :

Your LCD screen is bad. This appears to be a common problem. Here is a thread that describes a place where they fix this problem:

Either the screen is damaged or it has failed or the unit itself is broken.

Open up the Sharpwizard repair.com page as linked above.
Is that your problem?

According to the YO-370 Operation Manual:

What To Do If You Forgot The Password -
When you have forgotten the passord for the SECRET function, you have to delete the password along with all secret data by selecting "DATA DELETION" from the Function menu. Once the password is deleted, a new password can be entered. Follow the procedure below to delete the password (and the secret data along with it).

1. Recall the Function menu (2nd, FUNCTION)
2. Select "3 DATA DELETION", and press v (3, v)
3. Select "3 SECRET DATA". (3)
The delete prompt "DELETE ? Y/N" appears
4. Press Y (To retain the data, press N)
When Y is pressed, both the password and the secret data are deleted, and the initial display for the previous mode in use will reappear on the display.

If the pda was made in 2005, it's likely that there is a small watch battery somewhere which saves your settings, date, time, etc.
If this "CMOS battery" needs to be replaced, you're probably losing all of those basic settings whenever you let the main battery lose too much of a charge.
Hopefully, it's easy to access.
