Download and install the free software "utorrent" and download the torrent using the magnetic link. It's default save location should be your "downloads" folder.

Set up uTorrent with a different folder for each of downloads, finished, torrent loader, torrents, finished torrents, etc. Just make them sub-folder of a BitTorrent or similar folder. Set up your browser to download any .torrent or magnet file into the "torrent loader" folder.

Go to a torrent site like eztv.com or eztv-proxy.net or piratebay.se, find the torrent you want to download & download the TORRENT file. It will drop in the "torrent loader" folder & uTorrent will pick it up from there & start downloading the actual file you wanted.

You can download as many torrent files as you want. uTorrent will queue them up according to your settings.

Utorrent works on the premise that there are many people wanting the file that is being downloaded and many people have the file or parts of it available to be downloaded.
When one person is holding the whole file then they can seed this file so others can download it. As long as they have the file complete and available others can download it normally in blocks such as 4 kb blocks. As they download the blocks then they are available to others to download from them so if you have downloaded 50% of a file then that 50% of the file is available to any others that want to download it.
To this end someone can download part of the file from you and part of the file from another person thus speeding up the download process.
when two people are downloading different parts from the seeder they can also download the parts the other person has downloaded. So each person is helping to speed up the process of getting the file.

Once each person has a complete file then they can seed that file in its' complete form allowing many people to download the file quickly.

Where the torrent system falls over is when the initial person with the complete file stops seeding the file before each person downloading the file has the complete file. If there is any part of the file not contained on at least one downloaders computer then the file will continue to wait till that piece is available before completing the download thus leaving all downloaders without a complete file.

If a file has become dormant where no people are carrying any part of the file then the torrent program sits waiting for any part to become available to start downloading.

If your file is seeding, then it must have already finished downloading. Your choices:
  • COPY the file to somewhere else, so that it can keep seeding (good Karma).
  • Delete the torrent and MOVE the file to where you need it to be.

Several options:
  • In uTorrent settings, uncheck the "Start when Windows starts", so that you have control over when it runs.
  • In the settings, set up times when you want it to run.
  • In the settings, set up a download speed limit. For example, 10 will download about 900MB a day if it runs for the full 24 hours.
