Contact the mfrs service department for replacements - they get stuck in the rain guard because it is too tight - obtain a looser replacement.

Please refrain from multiple postings of the same query, especially when one has been answered. Thank you.

A) You have not stated to which model of Zhumell scope (of which I have never heard) this refers, but the new Swarovski has not only superb optical quality, but also a binocular eyepiece.

B) Thank you for stating the blindingly obvious in the second part of your query, which appears to be in response to some previous interaction between yourself and Fixya, the details of which you have not indicated.

NO, I do not think the actual barrels do at all, however often the inserts in the ends that hold in the lenses may, it depends on manufacturing process. regardless of how they are constructed and even if initially the barrels did detach, they most often however are sealed at manufacture to stop the ingress of moisture and keep alignment.

Binoculars, telescopes, rifle scopes have a inert gas inside to keep them from fogging up inside. I suggest you send it in for repair. Hope this helps you with this problem.

You might be able to drill a hole through the plastic knob and use a washer and a bolt to hold the screw tight. Or do something like this fix:

Why? are you going to use the scope for terrestrial viewing -- bird watching etc etc

You do not need it for astronomical viewing--- no up or down in outer space.

Here are some:

These are usually sold in 1.25 inch size-- measure the hole in the focuser.

I already answered your question-- you double posted.

You stick it into the focuser and tighten the small thumb screw. Then you put your eyepiece into the diagonal.

BUT! why would you do this? You only use this for terrestrial viewing not for night time Astronomy.

Those are for the primary mirror there are also 3 screws for the secondary mirror--
