Please write back with more specific details about the issue. What does not work when the hatch fails to lock? Is the issue the latch and that it does not secure the hatch in the closed position? Is the issue the lock itself? Does the lock engauge or fail to engage when you use the FOB, Key or interior door panel switch? Please write back with what you have noticed. Do you hear the lock/unlock servo "Clicking"? Is the key the issue and if so, what happens?

Check that all your ground wires are well attached and attaching points are clean and free of corrosion. Also check for parasitic drains such as an underhood light, trunk light, map light, floor lights, something plugged into dc outlet like a cell phone charger left plugged in, etc. is not draining your battery overnight or over time when parked.

The switch on system self test has obviously discovered a fault, logged it and switched on the warning light while disabling the system. This might have reduced the speed for safety or it might be coincidental.

A code read is needed to begin the diagnosis and repair process. Once repaired the system might need the code erasing before normality is restored.
