The posts run horizontal and face the firewall. If you were looking at the frontside (Post Side) the firing configuration is. Cyl.4 (Top Left), Cyl.1 (Top Right), Cyl. 2 (Bottom Left), Cyl. 3 (Bottom Right).

It should be either in one of two places. In the dash, or in the back in the passenger side panel. I have seen some that were under the seat too. But they may not have been factory.

If it has no drain plug in the pan you will have to carefully loosen the pan bolts enough to drain the fluid out .

Sounds like a transmission fault. Sounds like a nightmare but it is not and could be very cheap to repair if you are handy. Ford transmissions retain hydraulic accumulator servos with large snap rings. Occasionally a snap ring breaks disabling the accumulator and possibly the snap ring fragments interfere with valve body function. I recommend that you check out YouTube contributor 'Mustie1' and his "Ford f150 transmission repair".

Did you replace everything on the timing, All components? or just the guides and chain? If you didn't replace everything, go back in and replace the pulleys and guide tensioner. Live and learn ....

Depends on the year of the car. But I would say it's on the steering column, directly under the indicator arm.
