Radio has to come out & apart, to solder in new lamps

That's my guess

If the radio works & only the lights are out, then it is not a fuse issue

I would have your exhaust checked. You might have a plugged up catalytic converter. Most shops will flow test the cat for free.

Could be a plugged fuel filter. You crank on it for a while and won't start, all the time pressure is building on the fuel against the blockage, you stop trying for a while. When you finally go back and crank on it some fuel has gotten past the blockage and it starts. Then will keep running because the fuel is now moving. If this isn't the case, after you replaced the fuel filter, then it isn't getting power to the fuel pump at first meaning there's something amiss in your fuel system. Possible an electrical sensor that tells the pump to come on when the switch is first activated.

The jerk is from misfire. Start at the top - check plugs or just put a new set in, check all coil packs and wiring, make sure you have correct fuel psi on fuel rails.

The main fan probably has some big (10W) resistors on the fan motor support frame. What you describe sounds normal: A/C on requires much more air volume to be moved.

Your first step is to fix the crack in the radiator or replace it. While the rad is out, look at the fan. If the fan wiring harness has two wires, the fan is a single speed. If there's three or four wires, look for the 10W resistors, and check them with a meter. One may be burned out.

Try swapping out the fan relay. It may be crapping out.

The usual cause of this is the lock has closed or jammed for some reason. You should be able to re-open the lock with the key or the lever inside the car. You should be able to see the lock mechanism is open.

The mechanism hooks on to the loop on the trunk edge. This loop is adjustable, and may have worked loose.

Lastly, all the above assumes that you have not had a rear end collision or similar damage.

assuming your gearbox is automatic?
Either electrical or oil related.
Have you ever had the transmission oil an filters replaced?
Have you had a competent person hook up a compatable diagnostic test computer to your car for a read out?

I think these are your next steps.
