You will first need to get the car plugged into a diagnostic system or an OBD2 scanner to find the problem codes to tell you why the lights came on. Some local mechanics will do it a lot cheaper than a dealership or having to buy a decent scanner to do it yourself. Once the problem is fixed use the same type of system or scanner to clear the codes and lights.
Simply clearing the codes won't work. The lights will just come back on.
The reason for the light could be several different problems from a misfiring spark plug to a head gasket problem, (expensive). Comment with the codes below and I'll try to help you with them.

If you're finding it difficult to service/repair your car, get one of those online manuals. You'll not have to wait for others to answer, or rely on mechanics and all.
Plus i know a website reliable-store com.. that sells very cheap but very very good manuals online, without expiry i.e. for lifetime.
also try manualslife
these two are very good

Most wire conections in cars are plug and play these days, and are also colour coded. This mens that you will need to conect the same coloured wires together from both sides of the cut. Make sure that the conections are isolated from the other wires and sealed to make them water proof. Normal insulating tape should be good enough to seal the joins.

A condition of warranty is usually to not only have the car serviced at the correct intervals but also to be able to provide proof of that. If you go to the dealership and ask them to fix your fan they might not ask to see the proof. You might get away with it...

In Europe, vehicle manufacturers and dealers are forced by law to honour warranties as car owners have the right to use any independent garage or workshop, though it still should be documented and proof of genuine parts being used is good politics.

If the dealer refuses there is no reason to waste the journey - you could question a mechanic about the likely cause of the trouble, ask the parts guy if they have been selling a lot of something to do with your problem.
