You might try salvage yards for wiring harness & possibly Ebay. I tend to agree w/BMW cutting out sensor opens up a whole new can of worms. Check with independent shops locally.

Wherever you took you car for an oil change, they should have reset it for you. If they cant they can tell you where you can go. A good code reader will reset it for you no problem.

That is most likely the case, hopefully it just needs transmission fluid. It does give a warning when the fluid is low. I would certainly start with that.

Only a dealer or a well-equipped shop will have the tool that will plug in to the computer connection, read the fault code, and clear it.
The most popular aftermarket SRS code reader (Peake) works only through mid-year 2004 models. I don't know of any reasonably priced tool that will work on a 2007.
The dealer will charge $$ for this two-minute job, so hopefully you know a good, well-equipped, independent shop in your area.

You don't have one. Most all late model vehicles now rely on a oil pan sensor to report oil level.

The handbook will detail how to check oil level in your particular vehicle.

I always use Castrol Edge in mine. I like to service and change oil and filter every five thousand kilo....But I do live in a very dusty place.
I like Castrol oils if you prefer a different brand always go for the synthetic high performance oil formulated for the engine in your vehicle.

i work for a dealer in canada and i have no idea what that code means as i use dealer products, but its probably you pass side seat occupancy sensor which would require replacement and software, Unless you've gotten into an accident than the seat is a common problem, try checking the connections under the seat as something may have fallen under the seat and broken a connection
