This is a really common problem with these Auroras. I just let mine go. If you HAVE to fix it or really WANT to, you will need to replace the solenoids. These are roughly $200.00/ea. There are two of them.

Check that the temperature control in the door is connected. Check the temperature sensor under the glove box.

These should be under $100.00, but there are at least 3 of them, and it's really not easy to tell which if any are bad. I would say, too difficult for a novice.

Check fuses first. Next look at the connections/wiring starting with the drivers side door. Drivers side is the master, so if it doesn't work, usually the remaining doors will not work either.

If the motors are not running, I would start with the window switches, then look at the connections inside the door panels. Body control module is not a common failure point for this issue.

Check the ground connection where it connects to the frame on the passenger rear of the car. Also check the fuel relay in the fuse panel under the rear seat.

Possibly you are over-charging the battery. You will need to check the battery voltage with the car running - you should get 13.7v to 15.1v. Anything above 15.1v means the regulator is bad and you are overcharging.

I am guessing its under the hood.. it sounds like a vacuum hose is partly kinked or plugged, or the butterfly on the throttle body is dirty. and will make a buzz like noise at higher rpm.

The Aurora is a front wheel drive vehicle and there is absolutely no direct connection between the back bumper and the front transaxle. Take the car to a transmission shop for a free inspection. Hopefully all you need are new seals.
