Put key in ignition, turn to on (do not start) position for exactly 10 minutes. As SOON as the light turns off, start car.

This is a problem with most gm vehicles. The vault is the computer.

The dome light is controlled by a module .
Multi-Function Alarm Module
The multi-function alarm module uses an inadvertent power control in order to supply power to the following lamps:
• The courtesy lamps
• The header lamps
• The reading lamps
• The instrument panel compartment lamps
• The luggage compartment lamps

Your cam turns the distributor and it turns the oil pump. If you have no oil pressure it sounds to me like you didn't turn the pump you would need an old distributor shaft to turn the pump a drill and socket won't turn it it is a slotted shaft the distributor sets on check your gauge if an electric one if a hydraulic gauge the check your oil line from the block to the instrument cluster gauges have been found faulty get a hydraulic gauge and connect it to the oil channel on the block to get a true reading what's wrong.

First was it doing that before you changed the timing chain and second I have a 2005 Ford escape that was doing the same.I found some vacuum lines that had some small cracks in them so check all the vacuum lines and see if that helps.Good luck

Hi orvil brad hear, I would guess since you said you have a brake fluid leak, all of the master cylinder pressure is going out through the leak, not leaving enough pressure to actuate your clutch. If its not this it will problem be inside the tranny and thats another story. Good luck

GM had problems with a part inside the instrument cluster ,called a stepper motor .2003 to 2006 This stepper motor controls the gauge needle .

Your problem lies with the flow of hydraulic fluid in the transmission and has nothing what so ever to do with the fuel or engine. Have the transmission looked at by a specialized transmission service shop.
