OK. Turn on the key, let the light start flashing. Leave the key in the ON position. Leave it that way for 10 minutes. The VATS security is supposed to discourage a thief from stealing your car. It will flash for 10 minutes and then it will stop flashing. Now,,,,,, DO NOT turn off the key. DO NOT turn it off. Simply take ahold of the key and crank the car up. It will start and should never happen again, unless someone removes the instrument cluster, the battery, or other vital items like the ECM PCU. Good luck.

Put antifreeze in the container. Start the car. When fluid level goes down, kill it, put more antifreeze in. Repeat until filled.

If the engine cranking rpms are faster than normal, I would suspect no cylinder compression, because the valves don't close, so check the timing chain.
I'm talking about engine cranking rpms not the starter motor spinning because it doesn't contact the flywheel.

This is caused by needing an alignment or worn front end parts. An alignment will correct the steering wheel. It goes out of align, when hitting pot holes, curb ETC, God-Bless!

You will need to have an alignment performed to center the steering wheel. If any front end steering parts have been changed, the steering angles will be affected causing the sterring wheel to be off center. Also, hitting curbs/potholes can affect the alignment off setting the steering wheel

Check all the pulleys and idlers to ensure that they are operating correctly and that there are no bad bearings causing the problem. If they are all correct, chances are that the belt tensioner has failed and will need to be replaced.

Check out faxonautoliterature. They list the original GM service manual for your car which will have complete wiring diagrams, including options. They also have a GM book on engine swaps for newer engines into older vehicles which may be of some help. I've used them before and been very satisfied with their service. Hope this helps.
