sounds like your alternator is going bad, you will need to start the vehicle, then while running take off the negative battery cable. if the engine dies out then your alternator is bad...you can also go to almost any auto parts store and have them run the service codes, most wont charge for this service.

good luck!

take a flash light and look down into the tube if you can see the stick,,,chew some bubbke gum up and put it on the end of a straw the the dipstick penatrate the bubble gum the pull up slowly and twist it,,,if it dosent work go to Autozone or o'reillys get the 2 pice appoxey..the one you need is in a plastic tube approx. 1" round by 3" long I think its called quick steel....Place it on the inside of the straw pusu it over the dipstick let it set for 30 min. it should pull it out DO NOT let any of the appoxy get on the outside of the straw it will weld to the inside wall of your tube....If that does not work you will most likely have to drop the oil pan.

Take off your EGR valve and clean it out with carb cleaner also
grease tyhe little screw thing in it,,, u will c what i mean if u take it apart. carbon builds up in the chamber. it is located at the back left side of your engine and is a bit of a pain to take off. this should save u the cost except for the cleaner and labor. i had the same problem cheapest i found was 90$ on ebay.

A lot of the "newer" cars have a brake safety lever that needs to be depressed (press the brake) before you can get it out of park. If someone tried to put the car in drive without depressing the brake pedal it could have bent it or caused it to become out of rig. I would have it checked our before it gets to the point of not working at all.

you have to first take off the hub and then take the brake pars off after that there should be a bolt in the back of the dust shield were the axle comes into that holds the wheel cylinder on take it loose but not out because you have to loosen the line before you can take that bolt out all the way then you can take it out and do the opposite to put it back together
