That was a butcher-- not a mechanic

Get a factory wiring diagram & straighten the
wiring out, as the vehicle was built

On that diagram you can see everything on the vehicle
in the electrical system,no one can tell you what is were
or how to diagnose & fix problems, need to see them on paper

there are 2 pressure switches in the system 1 stops the ac compressor if there is not enough gas in the system and the other stops the compressor if there is too much gas . Next if there is a problem in the TX valve ( blocked orifice) then the head pressure will be too high and the compressor will not work. Next if you have not had the system checked for leaks ( why did you put more gas in ) then it has probably already been pumped out through the hole.. While you consider it a saving to do your own in the long run it is more expensive not to use an accredited auto air conditioner shop.

Sounds like bad vacuumed leak because of brake being hard.check that the hose from power brake diapham on fire wall to intake manifold in on not got a hole in it and if it seems ok pull hose off brake unit and plug and start.good luck.if that solves it replace brake booster.

Make sure your engine is breathing properly, by regularly changing air filters. Flush your cooling system once each year and pressure test. There are cooling lines that cross over the rear of the engine that get corroded and may begin to weep antifreeze..you can view these lines by removing the engine cover....if you've had a consistent odor of antifreeze after running, with no drippage evident, this area is probably the culprit.....love my 99...

Bad tempture door actuator. This is on the drivers side of the ac box. Make sure your heater hoses are getting hot. You could have a air pocket in the system

The security lock picture is a visual indication that something in the car's antitheft system is failing. In most GM cars and trucks there is a hidden system that most people are unaware even exists. From the moment you put your key in the ignition, there begins a constant line of communication between your key's security chip or transponder, to the ignition's lock cylinder, and then to the car's TDM (Theft Deterrent Module). These 3 parts are in CONSTANT communication. If the key is in the ignition, then these parts are sending signals to each other. The security light illuminates when that signal gets broken, even just for a second. When the signal breaks, the car misinterprets this as an attempt at theft and goes into antitheft mode. The car thinks its being stolen or hotwired because it is not getting that signal from YOUR specific key. This is why the security light turns on and shuts down your vehicle. This link explains it pretty well.

Looks like there is only one size of pads. There may be a heavy duty option but I think that was only used on Limo and Hearse.

Sound like it could be a bad thermostat or maybe low on anti freeze or bad water pump. Does the engine overheat at all?

fuses are used to prevent the wiring catching on fire and burning the vehicle when there is a short/. Remove the 25 amp fuse and find where the short is and fix it. It may be in the light it self where a wire is touching the earth.
