code p0446 refers to evaporative emission (EVAP) system-vent control-circuit malfunction===causes --wiring--EVAP canister purge valve--ECM
code p0455 refers to EVAP system-large leak detected===causes --hose connections--intake leak--EVAP canister---EVap canister purge valve
code p0172 refers to system too rich, bank 1===causes intake blocked---EVAP canister purge valve--fuel pressure ---EGR system---injector/s ---ECM
because the EVAP purge valve appears in all codes I would be inclined to change that unit first the run the fault codes again

Most of them fasten on the bolts that hold your license plate on. Take the tail lights out and wire it to the back up lights. Then it should be wireless from there to the screen inside which you can hotwire t ok 13 volt or plug into a power port.

Suspect wheel speed sensor. Likely the shudder is traction control activating from false reading of wheel sensor.

Have ODB codes read, it may identify which wheel.

Sounds like something broke in the torque converter. I would call a transmission shop like AAA Transmission. If they have anyone that really knows transmission they will be able to tell you for sure.

Reprogramming involves taking the following steps, but there may be car-model-related variations so only do the job for real with the specific EcuTek instruction manual alongside you.
  1. Connect the vehicle interface cable to the OBD-II connector and turn the ignition switch to ON
  2. Open the ProECU software and choose Tools then Detect Vehicle
  3. Select Program Engine ECU
  4. Choose Query ECU to identify the ECU version fitted to the car
  5. Select Choose ROM File and pick the relevant modified ROM file to program into the ECU
  6. Enter the ROM filename or your unique name for the ROM file in the Comments box so that in future you know exactly which ROM is in the ECU
  7. Ensure that all electrical consumers about the car (such as interior lights, heater blower, stereo etc.) are turned OFF and that mobile phones are kept away from the car
  8. Choose Program ECU
  9. After programming the ECU, follow the on-screen instruction to cycle the Ignition
  10. Start the engine

Heaven only knows.
Check fluids. If low, where did it all go? Broken Hose?
If fluids are all fine, going to take surgery but your description sounds like torque converter failure.
Surgery is in your future..
Cheers,

Doc

Would you please write back and elaborate on why your Astro won't stay running? Have you looked under the hood for faulty wiring at the battery or around the engine? Sometimes by looking around you can stumble across defects. Have you tested any systems? I would like to get an idea of what type of advice you are looking for. If you could give me an idea of what you have for tool and experience. I think I could help you better. Has the van had any recent work performed? After the engine is started. How long will the engine run before it stalls? Will it run long enough to reach running temperature? after the engine starts. How does the engine run? Is the idle and acceleration normal? Is the engine light on? Is the security light on?

You are asking about the lift pump or booster pump. The relay for this pump is located behind the doghouse. Lift the doghouse away and look at the side panel closest to the driver's seat. You will see the relay bolted to it. Treat this part with care. This relay is discontinued and I did not find a usable superseded part number. GM Part # 15528707. Good luck.
