Question about 1992 Dodge Dakota
Hopefully, someone with experience with your Dakota will chime in. Look for a fuse, relay, or circuit breaker that is a main power source. Reason is, that something is not bringing your dash lites on, especially the check engine light, which has to come on, as a check that it is functioning before car is started. Have you had any problems with looseness, sloppiness in your ignition switch or key lock cylinder? Maybe there is a fuse for the dash lights? for the engine control unit(computer)? My toyota, for instance, has an EFI fuse at the area near the battery, which powers up the computer. Well, keep looking, and good luck.
