Question about 2006 Mitsubishi Colt
This fault began after a local garaged serviced the car, they of course deny any responsibility!
Engine management light comes on and car enters 'limp home mode'.
If turned off and left for a bit, car drives normally again with light still on. Light then goes off after a while. The car will then drive perfectly for around a week until the fault occurs again.
I have pulled several codes from the ecu but mainly P0122.
Any clues or pointers greatly appreciated!
My girlfriends car has just started with the same problem, a limp home from the garage, a sleep over night and als well next day, for a while... I spoke to Mitsubishi and they have told me the TPS (throttle positioning sensor) is on the accelorator pedle assembly. There PN for this is MN125791 and its circa £88 + VAT. After exhausting all other options I may attempt this replacement and will advise the results.
