Question about 2003 Mitsubishi Galant

Mitsubishi Galant Alarm Problem

My girlfriend has an '03 Galant with 123k miles. Whenever she locks the doors using the remote fob, the alarm goes off and disables the car. She can lock them from the inside but whenever she uses the remote to unlock, the alarm also goes off. She replaced the battery in the fob, but that didn't fix the problem, so she just never locks the doors, which I'm not really cool with. Any suggestions?

SOURCE: new battery, can't reset alarm

remove the alarm, their might be a passive switch on the alarm to turn it off with a special key,if you dont have the key break the lock so you can turn it off or try to open case of alarm and look at wires and then dertimine which ones to join or break, every alarm inside is different so you will have to work it out.

SOURCE: Whenever I try to unlock

I can definately help you out with this question. I am a PROUD owner of 2 previous eclipse and now my 2000 model eclipse! Yea!

All you do is just simply take your key ....NOT the remote. The key! And as soon as the alarm goes off, just put your key in the trunk key slot and turn it to the right or to the left and it will immediately stop that disturbing and nerve racking BEEP-----Beep-----BEEP ****. For real its that simple. Just remember its then set (or should be set to original code and your problem should cease).

If for some reason this doesn't work for you, feel free to get in touch with me via e-mail and i am sure I CAN OFFER YOU FREE TIPS,HINTS,and or any other FREE-FREE- FREE info and solutions that are really bug'n the **** outta ya! Haha!

If this aftermarket alarm is playing up then the best bet is to remove it completely before it packs up completely and leaves you stranded out in the middle of nowhere on a cold dark night.Any after market alarm or remote start is problematic when they get older and highly prone to going wrong owing to the complexity of the circuitsa and the fack they use inferior integrated circuits made in china

How do i disable the anti theft of a 2012 Mitsubishi Galant...i lost the alarm remote...is there a fuse under the hood

Disabling the anti theft system isn't that easy! If it was more cars would get stolen! Take the car to a good auto electrician or an alarm specialist they might be able to sort you a replacement remote. If it was a factory fit alarm contact a dealership and ask them what they could do.

Doors wont lock from the inside, lights and horn flashing on my 2003 mitsubishi galant gtz

Well.. it is in an ALARM STATE:... I would
not be expecting a lot of cooperation from it...!!

And you are unable to kill the ALARMS by using the key in the ignition??

The remote has no effect...??

After finding all your RADIO CODES & noting all
your favorite PRESETS....

I would disconnect the GROUND side of the battery...

Go get a cup of coffee, cocoa... tea... stein/yard
of Beer, ale (etc.)...

Spend some time checking the battery in the remote...

Reconnect the GROUND and try it all over again.

We lost the remolt control and now the alarm is going off, ihad to disconnect the battery, now every time i connect the battery the alarm is going off

You need to find the remote. Once you do,you can use it to turn off the alarm by pressing the unlock button. You can also try pressing the unlock button on the door panel but, I don't know if that will work. You might have to have another remote programed for the vehicle. You can also try putting the key in the door lock and unlocking it.

Doors automatically lock sometimes while in motion other times after the engine has been shut off. Using the remote to unlock the doors results in the doors unlocking them immediately relocking.

it depend upon the program of the alarm system.the mitsubishi alarm system is programble or u can check the alarm system control under the steering column and check the central lock controller, the main actuator on the front driver side door

I have a 1999 jeep grand cherokee. the alarm goes off whenever i open the door if the vehicle has been locked the alarm stops when i start the vehicle i only have a key, no remote any ideas on how to fix...

If ithe alarm is factory when they will have to reset the alarm module with a scanner. If the alarm if aftermarket go to the control module and see if it has a reset button. FOBs (remote) can reset alarm. You Jeep is always set for break-in mode. The FOB sets this when ever the FOB is used to lock the doors. May be bad alarm module - Sorry - Good luck

2000 Toyota Rav4, just purchased. Has a two button Toyota FOB for door locks, alarm and remote starter? . The vehicle has a OEM Toyota remote starter installed but I don't know what combination of buttons...

My ex girlfriend had a factory installed honda remote strt on her vehicle. It was activated by hitting the lock button two times in succession. Some vehicles use a combination of the lock-unlock buttons. try using some combinations on the remote, many "oem" remote starts are installed by aftermarket installers so who knows what they did as a start function, it could also have been changed by the previous owner.

Jag S-Type -intermitent fault where the remote fob does not work

This does not sound like a fob fault - but a locking control module fault , either in the hardware or software of the unit. Get it checked at a Jaguar dealers. When unlocking using the key - as soon as the door is opened you should hear a chime sounding inside the car - this is a timer counting down to sounding the alarm. If you put your key in the ignition as soon as you open the door the alarm should not go off and the chime should stop. If it does not this again points to a fault in the locking controller.
hope this helps - good luck.

99' Mitsubishi Galant OEM Alarm Disarm?

There is no way to beat factory alarms because they are there to stop exactly what you are trying to do. You need to get a dealership to fix it. They may well have seen the fault before and have the diagnostic software as well.

It sounds like a simple switch problem.
