Could be a relay or wiring problem.

2003 Honda Accord EX interior fan not working. Was in a downpour and had lights, wipers, radio, etc turned on and when tried to turn defrost on the fan failed to come on. Have checked every fuse/relay

the fan motor could have went out, you can pick one up at the local parts house for less than 50 bucks. its pretty simple to change on most vehicles its usually located under the hood usually on the passengers side, only about three or four screws hold it in. Most of the time they can point it out for you at the parts house. Once its located unplug the wires going to it, turn the air condition on with the key on and check the wires using a volt meter to make sure you are getting at least 12 volts to it. If it is getting 12 volts then buy the fan, if you are getting no volts or something less than 11 volts then have a mechanic check your wiring harness, as there may be a short or a wire making contact in the wrong place. Good luck.

Ignition light staying on at idle put a volt meter on battery with motor going only 11 volts (is this a sfuffed alternator) ?

If you rev the engine with the voltmeter attached to the battery the voltage should rise to over 12 volts if the alternator is working.

99 chryler sebring 2.0 radiator fan not working

1 check fuse and or make sure you have 12 volts at fan conection
2 the fan has a thermostat to tell it when to come on when water temp gets
to about 160 or so, check for 12 volts at fan connector when motor is warmed up if no 12 volts replace thermo stat
3 check fan motor whith an ohm meter, if the reading is zero then the motor is bad and ned to replace the entire fan unit. cheep at junk yards

THE COOLIN FAN ON MY CAR DONT WORK

Hi.

The car model was not included in the question. In general if the radiator fan is not starting the first thing to check are the fuses. Depending on the car's model there is one or two fuses in line with the cooling fan circuit. If there are two fuses, then one is in the fuse plate inside the car, the other one is under the hood.

The next part to test is the thermostat. The thermostat housing is located on the refrigerant fluid lines, either near to the radiator, or near to the engine block. The thermostat can be tested using VOM tool. Read either Ohms or volts to find out if the thermostat is closing the fan circuit when the engine is hot.

Most fan circuits use also relay. Variable speed fans have often more than one relay. The fan relay(s) is often located under the hood. Relays can be tested reading volts at their contacts or swapping the relay with one of the same kind.

If fuses, relay and thermostat are OK, then the fan motor is often the next test. The motor can be tested energizing it directly. Variable speed fans have more than two wires powering the motor. To avoid risk of damaging the fan motor the repairer should refer to specific wiring diagrams before jumping fan cables. A different way of testing the motor is reading volts at fan motor while engine is hot. If there is volts at motor contacts but motor does not come on, then the fan motor is defective.

Regards.

Heat ac fan quit blowing fuses ok what next?

Hi. You will need to acquire a volt meter, and test the blower motor for proper voltage(12v). If the motor is registering a 12 volt current(at contacts with the switch activated), simply replace the fan motor. If not, replace the fan relay, or resistor switch.

My heat and AC fan wont come on and all the fuses are fine

What I would do is pull the fan blower motor speed switch, plug the wires back into it while you're holding it in your hand, run the car, and check with a multitester and see if you are getting voltage at the switch. Should be something like:
High=12-14 volts
MHi=8-10 volts
MLo=4-6 volts
Low=2-4 volts
OFF=no voltage

If you get voltage but the fan still doesn't work, then it's either a bad ground, or the motor is bad. If you can access the blower motor wire connections(sometimes its easier to try this with it removed from the vehicle), then you could try jumping the blower motor at the wiring connection with a known good 12 volt source, and if you STILL can't get the motor to spin then it's seized up or it's just a bad motor. If you have the motor removed, try spinning the squirrel cage by hand. Is it stiff? Seized? Probably need a new one if it doesn't spin freely by hand.

Hope this helps!
