SOURCE: I need a wiring diagram for a 1989 chevy silverado

When I replace a stereo, I buy the harness which is available on or places like Best Buy. All of the wires are labeled and color coded which makes it easier to connect with the wire nuts to any aftermarket stereo that fits in your dash.

If this was not a problem before the pump replacement then the sender in the tank may of faied or is contaminated with sulfer which is corrosive to the silver electrical contacts.

Do a search on sulfur corrosion and fuel sender units. Gm has big problem with this. Its possable the stress from removing the old and installing the new pump created an issue with contacts. If this is the case you will now need a sender unit.

I need a wire diagram for 1998 blazer fuel injection. I believe the injector ground wire might be corroded. Where is that ground wire?

Haynes Manual 24071 includes wire diagrams for all components. On the injector you have a pink and dark blue wire both are hot and signal wires. The only ground in the system is on the fuel pump and sender unit. Diagram 12-26 in the haynes maual.

fuel sending unit in tank but could be fuse or breaker. Are any other gauges not working? if all other gauges working probably not instrument panel fuse or cluster fuse. And if your not having problem with fuel getting to engine then more than likely your sending unit is not in with fuel pump.

How do you replace the fuel pump on 2003 extend cab silverado

The fuel pump is in the tank connected to the sending unit assembly. First drain the tank. Unfasten the hose clamps to the fill and vent hoses. Unfasten the hoses that attach to the sender. Unbolt the tank and lower to ground. Blow off the area where the sender is and take the retaining ring off. Pull the unit out and replace with the new unit.
Install is in the reverse order.
Note: I recommend you replace with the complete sending unit pump assembly rather than just the pump.
