Question about Citroen Agusta F4 R312 1 plus 1

Open Question

What is wrong with my 1.6 90bhp hdi in picasso c3. Keeps randomly starting to judder then loses power for a short time , then runs normally after that until next time. Garage says no fault.

This problem mostly happens in high gears but not all ways. Does seem to happen a lot on hills though. Had another new, c3 picasso before, with same problem, which was extremely bad and after discussion with dealer got this new c3p instead. As I write is doing exactly the same and of course no fault shows at dealers. Says Citroen have no cure either.

had a similar fault on my C3 using diesel from Morrisons, Changed to BP ultimate and I haven't had a problem since, engine runs smoother, quieter and more power.

SOURCE: loss of all power (total loss of accelerator ]) lots of management lights during driving

The purge valve is right underneath the intake manifold, it the valve that has a hard plastic hose attached to it that runs back towards the fuel tank. But I don't think that is it. I had the same problem and I changed the MAP thermostat, and the leak detection pump. Here are the codes from the OBD27cc DMTL leakage279b Thermostat map cooling
You need part number 03 Leak diagnostic pump 1 16137193479

04 Thermostat housing with thermostat 1 11537509227 $66.96

SOURCE: citroen picasso battery charge fault

Probably a short brush in the alternator, if you can find a specialist auto electrician it is possable to replace the brush/control pack but most places want to stripe you for an exchange unit.

Did it freeze? If not most likely a bad joint to the pvc tubes.

Seems to be a known problem. Look at the Video tab as well.

Mahindra 6500 will not take off hardly in high gear. In low gear it works fine until going up a steep hill. Smells a little like burning plastic when this happens. Is ther an adjustment.

From your description it would seem the clutch friction material is worn out and needs replacing, though it is possible the clutch spring (diaphragm) has become weak.

There might be an adjustment but I have no knowledge of that model. Mechanically (cable) operated clutches mostly have an adjustment to maintain a small amount of clearance (free play) in the pedal operation and also a very few of the older hydraulically operated systems but mostly these are self-adjusting.

A healthy clutch is designed to transmit the full engine torque with a good margin extra, though it must be remembered even a healthy clutch when it is overheated can begin to slip. As a clutch wears and becomes less efficient it is important to be considerate to it and keep it cool by driving in a manner that is less stressful for it and by not allowing it to slip.

If the clutch is not self-adjusting, adjustment should be attended to during routine maintenance or when needed. Even if your car has an adjustment I think it is unlikely to help...

first check the oil level in the transmission. If that's ok, then it's probably a clutch worn out. Check if the oil is black indicating burnt oil

My Honda CRV (1998) is making a high pitched whine sometimes when I'm driving. It seems to happen when the rpms are high before shifting (I own a standard transmittion CRV). It whines between 2.5 and 3...

Does the high-pitch whine exist when the engine is just running? Not moving (transmission is not in gear)? Running but with transmission in neutral (coasting down hill)?

It sounds like differential lube. gear lube.A little bit go's a long way.check the seals pinon and axles.the cover on the differential look at the vent too.also gear lube on brakes it's not good.some times you have to pull tires off to see the oil.

Clunking or slipping in transmission or rear end while on highway

This might be a valve timing offset, that when you change gear your valves become ofset from your pistons and they might hit, or it might also be your crankshaft hitting your oil pan. either wich way this might be a serious problem.
