On 1998 and earlier models, the side marker light housing is located next to the headlight housing. Remove the screws and pull out the housing to access the bulbholder on the back of the housing. On 1999 and later models, the park and turn signal bulbs are located in the bottom of headlight housing. Twist the bulbholders out to replace the park or turn signal bulbs. Installation is the reverse of the removal directions.

Why after changing the brake light the icon on the dashboard does not go away

make sure you replaced it with the correct bulb number, some bulbs look identical but run at a different wattage and can trick the system. Also, check all the brake and tail lights, even the small side marker lights can turn this on. Also, if it is a brake light turning the icon on, it wont' come on until you step on the brakes, if it comes on right away, i'ts probably a tail/marker light

Replace side marker light on lexus rx300

Remove 3 - 4 screws on fender cover close to side marker light. Pull fender cover out a bit for you to use your other hand to reach side marker light. By twisting on one direction and here you go the light out. Replace new bulb and replace everything on reverse order.
