2001 Mercedes E220 CDI exhaust black smoke on acceleration

Hi, I have a 2001 Mercedes-Benz E-Class E220 CDI with 76,000 mileage. There is a problem with exhaust tail pipe smoke on acceleration. I have recently got the injectors overhauled and B-service done. The car still gives out black smoke on acceleration. The car’s pull is OK (no loss of power) and fuel consumption is pretty good. Can anyone help to guide me what the possible cause might be? Thank you in advance, Paul.

it's seems like leaking one injector better get injector check, you can do it at dealer workshop only, because if you fix the Mercedes diagnose computer in to your car technician can check how the smooth running condition of each cylinder, and also have special tools and procedure for check the injector leak, same time you can ask the technician to preform re calibrate adaptation, then technician will let you know what's the wrong in your car, only this is the way you can tune the engine in this particular car, is this information helped you?

Must be a rather new car because the e220 cdi is listed as a first drive on the 2010 copyrighted site that I saw:

Hi, can someone tell me where to find the oil-pression sensor on the mb E220 CDI 2001? Thanks

I'm not familiar with your car but oil pressure sensers are always put in the block of the engine in an oil galley so look at both sides of the block.

2001 E220 CDI exhaust tail pipe black smoke on acceleration

Black smoke is almost always an indication that the air/ fuel mix (ratio), is too rich. I would try to find out if the just cleaned the injectors or were they replaced. Cleaning injectors and sometimes leave irregularly shaped orifices. Besure the air filter is clean. This can effect mix also.
Good Luck and hope this helps.
