The first code is for "driver seat track position sensor low". The module detects that the sensor input is less than or equal to 0.3 mA. The second code is referring to the first code. I have no idea what the third code is. Basically you have two different communication systems mixed. The 2001 uses the PCI bus system and the 2007 uses the CAN bus which is much faster. The first code is a CAN bus code and the second is a PCI code. As far as the airbag deploying in the event of a collision, I don't believe it will with an active code in the system. I hope this helps.

Taken cloth front seats out of rav4 to replace with leather. the cloth seats had side airbag and seat belt pretensioners leather has neither srs warning light on how can i get around this problem

the air bags are part of the car construction and to remove them makes the car unroadworthy
that means that in the event of an accident, your insurance, both 3rd party and comprehensive ,will be wiped exposing you to large payments for loss and injury
I can understand you wanting leather seats and toyota would have accommodated this wish in their cars with the proper air bag leather seats
the real answer here is to find the correct leather seat with air bags so that a clean swap can be made
sorry that it is not the answer you want but I do not advise how to fix that puts any one in danger

2001 Escape: airbag light comes on,blinks, and then is a solid light. Is this probably a costly repair to fix?

This happens with my '01 Escape all the time. After extensive research on this I discovered Ford installed some really horrible wiring clips under the Driver's and Passenger's seats. Fixing the problem is just a matter of getting under your seat and disconnecting and reconnecting those little wiring clips. Mine are bright yellow and the only wiring under either seats. I heard a couple of guys got fed up with the problem and replaced the wiring on these, but I find it easier to just fiddle with them whenever the airbag light illuminates.
Ford did acknowledge this issue and didn't issue a recall because the airbags will supposedly still deploy in the event of a collision. I don't recall where I read this but I felt relieved by it :). If this issue really bothers you go get it diagnosed, the diagnosis wont be pricey, the fix might be though! Good luck.

I Replaced Leather seats with airbags with cloth seats with no airbags and now the airbag light is blinking. I used the dead headed plug ends from the cloth seat car for the end of the yellow airbag...

hi.
the airbag check system still thinks that there are airbags in the seats. when it does not get the right signal from the seats it flashes a fault. the dead head plug ends in the new seats are probably just blanking plugs that are not actually completing the circuit. unfortunately, you probably need the system to be reprogrammed so it does not check for these seats. i would look in the phone book and ring a few of the smaller "back street" garages to get a price for this to be done as it is going to be far cheaper than the dealer. the job should tace under 30 minutes to do. DO NOT make any attempt to transfer the airbag system from the old seats into the new ones. my friend once tried this. when he reconnected the battery his nice new seats exploded.......airbags are very dangerous and need to be dealt with properly. good luck. Airbag light on insturment panel

The most inexpensive method is to us CRC contact clear to clean the contacts on the buckle.

WARNING: this is a strong chemical and it will emit odor and stain carpet and leather.

Heated leather seats will not heat up. Switch lights up and all fuses are okay. Is there a hiddedn relay I am not finding? Is there a quick way to determine if the problem is in the heating element under...

are you saying neither the heated seat cushion nor heated seated back on either seat works? But the light or lights does work?

Please rate as solved if this helps you. It took some time to dig all this stuff up. Please report progress.

Here's some info to start you off:

  • The heated seat is inoperative — seat does not heat but the heated seat switch illuminates when pressed
  • Circuitry.
  • Heated seat module.
  • Seat heater and temperature sensor.
  • Seat back heater.
  • Heated seat switch.

Heated seat not working

The heater element for the seat is broken or damaged....It will need to be replaced....The blinking light lets you know there is a problem and does not let power flow to the element. This is for safety reasons to prevent short out or even fire.
