look for the filler plugs and r12 has a thread and 134 has a bulge in the middle,94 was the change over from R12 to R134 ,also look at the rad as R12 is a small rad and R134 has a full size rad .Also look under bonnet for a sticker giving charge amount and type of gas

Its really easy to access the motor although I haven't had to change mine yet. Start with removing the glove box. There's two hidden 10mm bolts under an oval trim cover inside your glove box. Two more bolts underneath the box and one philips screw above the latch. Your motor should be right there and easy to replace. If you have more questions I can give you more info. Hope this helps. Also are you absolutly sure the motor is bad. Are the fuses good and the wiring?

If the temperature you are running until your next oil change is due will be below 50F average they recommend 5w30.
Otherwise 10w 30 is the choice.
