Hi,If you are mechanicly inclined replacing the timing belt should be simple ,If the car still runing be sure to aling the timing marks perfect and make a note of the position in a piece of paper,If not you can get the specs at the auto parts where you get the belt ...YES they can jump do to wear and they can cause valves to bend ,this can also cause major engine damage....

SOURCE: i need to know the timing chain specs for a 2001 chevy tracker?

i have done a few timing chains, you should go get a manual so you can go back and reference when you need to. I can tell you this "do not" move the cam or crank when the belt or chain is off. Hope it helps

SOURCE: Radiator problems

it may be a little off, but the lower water hose seldom gets very hot,, as its this hose that suplyes the engine with ""cold water"" the hot water comes out the top hose,, drains down the rad and cools on the way down then enters the engine through the bottom hose """if your engine stayes running in the normal place on the gage,,,and not over heating""" why are you spending money for nothing???""
you wont get the bottom hose to run hot unless the engine is cooking

2003 chevy tracker, changed temp gauge, water pump head gasket and still goes up towards the red if I do not have the heat on high.

IF you have a viscous fan hub then replace it . Is the thermostat in the correct way. Have a flow test done on the radiator cores as they may be blocked.. Check ignition timing position.

My drivers side window on my 2001 chevy tracker goes down but not up. I am looking for a power window regulator for my 2001 chevy tracker with no luck. Any suggestions ?

I'm going to guess that your power window motor has about given up the ghost. You may take it in to a mechanic's shop and ask them where the regulator is, however. I just doubt it will be an easy to find piece.

2001 Chevy Tracker Battery size

I just installed an Interstate Battery Group 3 from Costco on my Chevy Tracker 2.0L 4 cyl. 4WD.
It fits like a gloove, has 640CCA instead of 625CCA. Cost was U$74.90 + tax + U$15.00 core charge ( which they'll reimburse once you bring the old battery back.)
42 months warranty you can't beat it. It also had a very practical handle to drop the battery in. The only thing, the battery terminal are reversed, so you have to install the battery 180° to still have the positive (+) side on the right hand side, but it worked like a charm
