Maybe try some contact cleaner, Could be as simple as dirty contacts or grease on part of the plug.

SOURCE: Driver side headlight bulbs burned out on 2003 VW Golf

There is a light cover in front of the battery... take this off and then look for the metal clamps holding the light housing in.  (I say clamps, but they're more like glorified paper clips on either side of the fixture.)  Press in on each side, pushing the clamps towards each other and pull the fixture out.

SOURCE: 2001 subaru outback headlight not working

chapmnfarm: your head lights use a "2" fuse system.
one for the left and one for the right.
The fuse box you are looking for is under the hood on the passenger's side. It is a black box roughly 8 inches long and 4-5 inches wide. When you remove the cover, you will see fuses and relays. What you are looking for is the section in the box which has a cluster of 7 fuses. 3 in one row and 4 in the other. On the outer parameter are two relays. The fuses you are interested in are located in the row of 4 fuses, with the two closest to the "L" shaped part of the box. Both of those should be 15 amp fuses.
The fuse below those should be a 20 amp which is the lighting switch and the one below it is a 15 amp which is for the interior lights and the clock.
Check your harness grounds in the engine compartment near the area you have the problem. There are ground wires which come out of the harness on both sides of the core support. The wires are black in color and have "EYES" crimped onto the ends of the wires. Both of them will probably be located about 4-6 inches below the upper tie bar on each side of the radiator. Odds are that the eyes will be large enough to pass a 6mm bolt through.
I hope what I have given you will resolve your problem. Lem me know,,good luck>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

How to replace headlight on 03 grand am gt

First you need a 10mm socket and Ratchet take the two bolts off of the top of the headlight and after those come out you can pull the headlight away from the car a little bit and unplug the plug being sure not to break the little tab that holds it on tightly then turn the ring that surround the bulb that should pull right out then the bulb will pull out itself when you're installing the bulb do not touch the glass of that bulb then reverse the order of taking the headlight out .

You can buy the replacement pigtail connector at the auto parts store the connector plugs on the back of the bulb inside the tube on the back side of the headlight box you remove the rubber dust cover and pull the old connector off the bulb plug in the connector on the pigtail and splice the wires to the old headlight wires all of this is done outside the headlight box there is no need to remove the headlight box.

Passenger headlight has a shortage in the wire. How do I know? The light bulb is not blown per auto mechanic, AutoZone, and by looking at the bulb myself; when I move the wire to the headlight the light...

You can fix it yourself you just need to find out where the shortage is. If its up close to the bulb then its not a big deal to change. Just go to an auto parts store and get a new headlight pigtail for it then splice it in. If its further up the harness it can be a little bit more difficult.

I replaced my left headlight after it burnt out, and two weeks later it went out again. As I was trying to change it, it turned back on. By shaking it it would turn on. It was annoying but doable....

When you shake the bulb , the filiments inside the bulb can touch again and come on, very temproary. When you replace the bulbs do not touch the glass part. They do get very hot and will break. If you do touch them wipe them with window cleaner or some thing to the like. oil from your fingers will shorten their life a lot.

I installed HID headlights and fog lights about 2 months ago and the passanger side went out. i took the drivers side bulb and put it into the passanger side to see if the bulb or the ballast was bad and...

The headlights run through a relay (#46) through the BCM. If the relay were bad (very common and has a recall) both lights would not work. Sooo, I'm thinking check the wiring and pigtail that goes to the bulb. People that use Silverstar halogeon bulbs will burn that wire and or the connector. Make sure these are sound, check for power at the connector too.

Whoa!!!! You don't need to remove the bumper. 90 and up Accords have a replaceable bulb. The manual says to disconnect the neg. battery cable before starting. You need to access the bulb from the back, remove the connector from the back of the assembly, then turn the retaining ring counterclockwise, remove bulb from housing.
When installing the new bulb DO NOT touch it, oils from your skin will cause the bulb to overheat where it has been touched, and shorten the life of the bulb. Wear gloves to handle it.

2003 golf diesel headlights butn out regularly

1 : either the bulbs are being touched by bare skin durring install <oils in skin will ruin the bulbs life> or you may have a bad connection .when replacing next make sure connector at back of bulb isnt melted or even "hot" looking if so replace pigtail. 2 : not a real easy way to replace but main thing is to not touch new bulb with skin.

2005 GMC Envoy passanger headlight

I have had the same problem on both Headlights at different times on my 2002 Envoy. I had to replace bulb sockets. Sockets with pigtail can be purchased at most auto parts stores. Make sure to put conductive lube on terminals when reinstalling.
