If you have NOT had the abs sensor disconnected as part of the process for this repair then it is likely that the sensor has been damaged by the knocking of a hammer on the suspension!
If you have had it disconnected then the dealer will need to reset it with their diagnostic equipment. You should always remove abs sensors before hammering on suspension components

Loosening but not removing the strut top mounts and sway barend link bushings can provide a bit more suspension travel for easieraxle removal. ccr20051001cv_s04.jpg
Loosen and remove wheel side axle mounting bolts. ccr20051001cv_s05.jpg
Separate the axle from the wheel. Do not allow axle to hang from thetransmission or differential. Oil seals could be damaged. ccr20051001cv_s06.jpg
Gently pull, pry, or otherwise liberate the axle from the transmissionor differential. Do not bend axle seals. Be careful not to teartransmission or differential oil seals. ccr20051001cv_s07.jpg
The axle splines on the right show damage. Note the c-clip on both axles. ccr20051001cv_s08.jpg
Don't forget to transfer any axle seals, ABS rings, or other parts to the replacement axles. ccr20051001cv_s09.jpg
Guide the replacement axle into place. Depending on the type of retainer, the axle should click firmly in place. ccr20051001cv_s10.jpg
Always use the proper torque on the axle bolts. Check axle rotation. Reassemble dismantled components.
