How do i install a manual window regulator in an oldsmobile 2001 alero

Ok let's do this you need to have tool to remove window crank handle then remove door panel look for screws in arm rest then panel should be held on by plastic push pins remove the by prying door panel with screw driver after removal look at crank handle shaft you will find bolts attaching mechanism to door get help from another person to hold the glass after removing bolts you can work the unit to remove glass from the unit then reinstall glass into the unit and put back in reverse order this will take lots of patience but you can do this the glass is in a metal frame with rollers that slide into the mechanical window regulator make sure glass goes back into the window felt track during reinstall hope this helps.

How do i remove front quarter panel on 1999 Oldsmobile Alero

Without being too specific to the Alero, but they are all the same, pop the hood and inspect the topside for retaining bolts, check that the headlight is not connected to it (if it is this needs to come out as well), remove cowling from wheel well and open the front door to access any bolts on the backside. Additionally there may be a frame to body support bracket that will just look like a rod coming off the frame and likely striking the body panel just behind the wheel well.

Wipper arms removal

There are two main styles. One style has a nut covered by a piece of plastic at the pivot point, the other style is a metal retainer under the wiper arm.
The style with the nut is most common. remove the plastic cover by prying it up at the pivot area, remove the nut underneath, usually 13,14 or 15 mm. then life the wiper off of the glass and wiggle off of the shaft.
The retainer style you need to lift the wiper off of the glass and look for a small metal tab near the point where the wiper pivots to lift it off of the glass. then pry the tab gently outward. This releases the arm from the shaft. Just wiggle it free.
