HI , i have peugeot 407 2005 one month ago started to give me break system faulty so i went to a repair shop and changed all the break pads front and back all new costed me 300 $ , now the car is giving me...

If in fact the shop DID replace the pads on the car, I'd take it back to them ASAP or it could be that the BCM (brake control module) is malfunctioning. Take it back to the shop, let them look it over and see if the problem is something they did. If it's a large well known shop then they should be honest with you. If it's a small hole in the wall type shop that you used because you were trying to save money, then run. Take it to the dealer and let them fix it. If it is the BCM, be prepared to spend upwards of $1000 for the new module and labor.

Peugeot 407 problems

Take the vehicle to Autozone, Oreilly's, NAPA, they will put a "CODE READER" on your vehicle for FREE to help diagnose the problem. They will also show you where the part is on the vehicle and loan tools but they cannot replace the part for you.

Sounds like a sensor either on the pad or on the mastercylinder.

I hope this helps.

Hi I have a peugeot 406, I HAVE REPLACE THE FRONT BREAK DISC AND THE BREAK PADS BUT IT STILL GIVE THAT HORABLE NOIOSE WHEN I BREAK. Its realy iritating and i take good care of my car,

Remove the brake pads from the car and smear small amount of high melting point silicone grease e.g. Carlube, at the back of the brake pads. Be careful do not put on too much and never has it touch the pad material and the disc rotor. if you do, remove it with brake clearner immediately. The squeaks noise shall disappear if you fix it properly.

Changing Brake Pads

Well the first thing U need to do is clamp off your break line,{u only have to do this if it has abs}which that year.then you nee to break open the break bleeder vavle.Whants you have don this then you are raedy to unbolt the break housing and remove the breaks and replace.Put back togather and close the bleeder vavle and take the clamp off the break line.Now you are ready to bleed the breaks.The same way for all four.{if your car has disk breaks in the back}
