Lancer not getting enough fuel and cutting out

I own a mitsubishi lancer gl 93 model and it isnt getting enough fuel and keeps on cutting out

    filter has been changed, and a new carby put in, the pump has already been looked at.

    the ignition is fine it just wont kick over, it might sound silly but was is an emission?

    are you sure it's the fuel, or are you just saying that because it cuts off. if so i'll help you with that, but remember the ignition, or even the emisson system can cause this problem, so be sure. if your not sure tell me and i'll walk you through some test which are to numerous to do them all if they're not needed.

Not kicking over. Does this mean engine turns (spins) but will not run. Try taking loose intake manifold hose (open throttle linkage, and spray some quick start inside. Replace hose and try to run engine.

It might be the fuel filter needs to be changed and it's cutting off flow. Other wise you'll have to look at the pump or injectors.

Are you sure it's getting enough gas? Try replacing the fuel filter, and see what happens.

Planning to buy a 2001 lancer, auto gear...am I doing right?


the lancer get's about 23-26 miles per gallon it is a low maintenance vehicle and as long as you change the oil and do regular maintenance on it the vehicl will last a long time... please rate this
