Not sure of the lancer's timing belt, but the timing belt and the cvt transmission are two different things. Most likely, you have a timing belt.

Do i need to change my came belt on lancer 2006 1600cc

If by 'came belt' you mean 'cam belt' it is the same as 'timing belt'

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timing_belt

It should be changed at 60000, 120000, 180000 miles and so on.
If you're late do it soon.

What trasmition oil do this car use

Your transmission requires a special fluid. DIA QUEEN CVTF-J1
You can save yourself some time and go directly to the Mitsubishi dealer. You may hear alot of "recommended" replacements for the OEM fluid. With that CVT transmission, I recommend that you stay with OEM fluid.

Good Luck

Hi I the owner of a lancer 2003 4g18 Engine CVT transmission leaking oil by timing belt i have change seals about 4 times already i don't know what to do again.

maybe the leak is not in the cam or crank oil seals. i have the same car, found out the leak is coming from the valve cover and crank case (oilpan).

Looking to buy an 09 lancer. A little leary about the CVT tranny. I have 25 years Ford and GM experience but not much about CVTs. Would appreciate any input

I was a little leary myself when i bought the my 08 lancer gts cvt. I have only owned it for three months and has a little over 51000 km on but havent had any problems with it. You will be very impressed with the smooth operation of the cvt, the sprotronic and paddle shifters are amazing and work beautifully. I would recommend it over a regular five speed or a rough changing auto tranny. Besides the fact you should have proper warm up for it to work in colder temps(which is good for all trannys anyways) and the special transmission fluid needed. Fewer components and operates much like a snomobile belt drive system which i thought might affect gas mileage but i got a suprising 42mpg at 100km/hr. Towing anything might be an issue with this transmission since its a belt drive system(small camper or travel trailer) but im not to certain about that.So far so good......i would get another one!
