Chevy blazers dont have timing belts they have chains. The chains get noisey on some engines that are run hard or the oil changes are missed. Sometimes these engines live their whole life if not run too hard without changing the chain. Noise lower gas mileage uneven idel hesate to accerate. These are all things that happen over 100 thou miles. Many go way farther with no problems

I have a 1999 Chevy blazer 4wd with almost 194,000 miles. What oil is recommended for high mileage?

Well a lot of motor oil brands will have a high milage formula, I prefer synthetic oil for my engine but at 194k miles if you haven't used synthetic oil for the life of the engine it's kind of pointless to start using it now. On that model I believe the recommend change time for the oil is every 5k miles, I would start doing it at every 3k and not worry about synthetic.

Aowhn do i have to change my timing belt in mitsubishi ls 2006 out lander 96000km

Hello maothilak: My name is Roger and I will help you. According to my repair manuals and shop guide . The timing belt should be replaced every 96560.82km. or every 60,000 miles. Please note this engine has been identified as an interference engine. That means if the belt slips or breaks severe internal damage will occur. With the mileage you have on your engine I would recommend changing the timing belt. You did not say which engine you have? My all data system identified it as a 2.4 sohc engine. Should you have a 3.0 engine than the time to change the belt is 168981.4 km or 105,000 miles. The 3.0 is also considered an interference engine. Should you need further help please just ask. Please rate the answer. Thank You for using Fix Ya. Roger

We have a 2002 Toyota Avalon in perfect shape with 40,000 miles, our Mechanic has told us that Toyota recommends changing the timing belt after 8 years, we are hesitant to do this maintenance because of...

Since it is a rubber belt, even though the mileage doesn't warrant a replacement, the time interval can. It's like changing oil, 3 months/3000 miles, most people will never change oil every three months if they didn't reach 3000 miles, however, oil degrades and becomes acidic over time so you'll still end up with engine damage. Same thing with the belt, low mileage, but with time it can dry rot or crack and if it breaks, well, you may have much more than $700 in repairs to look forward to. But for your info, the timing belt in my nissan truck is 10 years old and has 115,000 miles on it. Nissan recommends changing it at 100k miles. I'm taking a risk with mine for sure.

What is the recommended mileage for changing a timing belt on 2006 Forerunner with a V6 engine?

on any auto about 50,000 miles is average it's cheaper to replace the belt then an engine. when the belt breaks most engines will bend the valves and toyotas are good for that

Gluster gauge won't illuminate

Hello hayeizmyhome...Very low mileage for a 1990 model. However... this is usually around the mileage interval the dreaded instrument cluster, panel and dash light failures start...lights will flicker, then go out, gauges will start going up and down, lcd's will become hazey and hard to read....etc.
The instruments are illuminated both day and night while the ignition is on.
When the ignition is off, the panel goes dark and you can’t see the gauges at all.
The lexus has an electronic circuit board behind the inst. cluster that has been the problem. Very expensive repair if done by dealer.
*TIP* This circuit board can be repaired if you know a good electrical technician much cheaper.
The recommended timing belt replacement interval on the LS is 120k...water pump should be replaced also, the timing belt runs the water pump. The LS has a non-interference engine, meaning if the belt breaks, no damage will be done to the engine...
Hope this answers your questions..and your lexus runs for many more miles...with proper care and maintainnace, it will.

2003 Santa fe timing belt change

You can drive it till it breaks of course, that will cost much more then replacing it as maintenance though. I would plan to have it changed much sooner then later as you are already past your recomended service time.

Timing belt

A dealer told my son in law to change the timing belt at least once before it reached 80000 miles. I would probably change it at 60, maybe 70.

Just bought a 2006 jeep gand cherokee limited 4.7 liter v8 with 77 miles i t seems to be burning gas very quickly actually to fast what could cause this ?

if you mean bad gas mileage (and only 77 miles on it) the engine isn't broken in yet, its still tight. it will take time to break it in, and you should see your mileage start to improve. check your intake and air cleaner, could be clogged.
