Question about 2005 Mitsubishi Lancer

4 Answers

1) The Lancer Cedia 2001 4G93 1800cc when on sudden full throttle particulary during overtaking gets choked and loses power. 2)The engine light on dash board comes on after long drive during traffic jams where brakes are applied often in traffic snail up. Have done an OBD scan with results showing "P0195 Fuel presure sensor 1 malfunction". However from OBD literature code P0195 is for Engine Oil Temperature Sensor. Any advice on what could be happening?

Hi i have a 2001 gdi 4g93 cedia lancer also i experienced both your problems so i can be of assistance. so 1st with regards to the choking whilst overtaking its NOT THE PRESSURE SENSOR i was told that also and brought 2 its a waste of time it`s actually just the intake pump filter located under the back seat needs cleaning. i even had an additional one placed also and problem solved..

How often this needs to clean? My car stutters on 1500 RPM and jumps when just started and about to move off.

If at anytime you get the code fuel pressure regulator on the GDI engines you just need to replace the built in fuel pump filter in the tank, over time the filter gets clogged

I have a mitsubishi lancer cedia model 2000 frequent stall when driving i switch it off and on again in the ignition and come to live again for a few miles and does the same again what could be the cause

If you have the GDI model, they were designed to run on very lean air/fuel ratio.
Once the mileage is up a bit a lot of problems can be traced back to a high carbon build up in the intake manifold.

Hi engine rev

the repairers may of not plugged the throttle body plugs in if its revving to 13000 rpm you will blow your engine up your best bet is if the repair was done under insurance ring your insurer and tell them your problems and tell them you are not happy with the repair they are under a legal obligation to get it fixed
