I just had one in the shop last wed, replaced the high pressure power steering hose. but it can also leak from the pump, the return line , or the steering gear, you will have to have it looked at to be certain

My 2008 Cadillac STS's Service Power Steering System came on the steering is hard to make turns..what's your suggestion? Thank you

Check the power steering fluid and make sure it is at the correct level. Check for leaks underneath the vehicle. Does the vehicle make a groaning noise when the wheels are being turned? If so, there is air in the system. Likely causes are a fluid leak, bad pump, or bad rack and pinion.

Coolant leaking on my 2008 cadillac sts

1. Look for where it is leaking from.
2. If the leak is not visible or is very slow try a radiator stop leak fluid.
3. Otherwise replace seal, hose, or whatever is leaking.

Two of my power stering hoses need to be replaced and it is not covered by my waarranty. Can I have a mechanic do this without creating a problem for my 2005 Sts cadillac

Super expensive labor costs to replace the high pressure power steering hose (in my car anyway) due to its location behind the engine. I started buying power steering fluid with "stop leak" and adding it every couple of days when my steering would become difficult and start groaning. I did this for a couple or three weeks. My auto repair man also added a conditioner of some kind and now, even though I still know that I need to replace the hose, I can save the dollars over the next few weeks and do it on my schedule. It's been over a month since my steering has given me any trouble at all. I hope this helps you.

Leaks red fluid, hesitates on take off sometimes

this is tranny fluid. ive had the problem myself. its most likely a hose that goes from the tranny to the tranny cooler that is located at the front of the car and is sometimes part of your radiator. get this fixed ASAP
