Question about Chevrolet Blazer
My 97 blazer has been driving us crazy. we replaced the belt X 2, idler pulley, tensioner pulley, alternator, and water pump. The battery is new and we still get squeal. the truck has AC which has never worked. what else do I need to replace... besides the whole truck... to stop this squeal !!
Could it be the pulley on the AC that's squealing? Use a mechanic's stethoscope to locate the squeal. If it is the AC, you can get a belt that is shorter, and bypass the pump, since it doesn't work anyway. Try some belt dressing first. When the engine is running, just spray it on the inside of the belt.
